Long term goals — Insight
You must have a long-term goal; it shows your vision and distinct view which helps you sets apart from the rest of the crowd. I heard this narrative first time in my general management course. And soon joined the league and whenever asked in the interview narrated some or other goals close to me as a long-term goal (quite honestly). Point to ponder is I really do not have any long-term goal; all I knew was to give your best in all scenarios. Does it mean I am less passionate and do not want to become something better person in terms of knowledge, wealth, relations, learnings? Or does it mean I can be jack of all and master of none? Or does it mean I don’t have clarity to what I want from my life in professional/personal front? Trust me I think it’s all BIG NO! For some people setting such targets may work, believe me for some not. The joy in achieving small milestone and enjoying the journey is far more joyous. Not to forget, penny-penny makes many. The important thing is not to miss on adding value to yourself and your surrounding in everything you do. To put it better way, dream big, achieve big, but celebrate small moments. Life is now it will be never yesterday or tomorrow. And you are as much passionate as any one other who has long term goals.
